i've always been a fan of my dad's green thumb - especially in the summer when the wildflowers bring color to the yard. i never realized how much i took these flowers for granted until now. living in town, i miss out on the luxury of planting flowers like crazy (although i try) with a very small backyard. so for now, this pretty little bouquet is residing in the living room. i'm taking a moment to appreciate this little piece of summer! i'm so excited to have my own flower-flowing backyard in the future, ahhhh.

i love to change things around & refresh my living environment. i have plants, but tend to get bored with where they sit or the pot in which they live. last evening, i decided to give one of my first plants (ever) a new home. this bird's nest snake plant has survived years of neglect (peep the yellowing leaves). if you have a black thumb, but would love to own a low-maintenance house plant, this hardy little guy is your go-to!
