downtown york, pa has come such a long way in its revitalization movement. restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and more are thriving as community members continue to work together to make this place the attraction is deserves to be. last weekend, artists came together to give royal square an incredible collection of murals that stop you in your tracks. (located across the alley from collusion tap works) royal square in downtown, york pa is defined by princess, duke, king and queen streets. filled with unique arts, shopping and restaurant locations, royal square is a go-to destination for emerging creativity. art is such an important part of any downtown - it increases tourism and creates the perfect photo opp. (located across the alley from collusion tap works) i'm a little biased about this incredible mural featuring a woman's face. located beside collusion tap works, the mural resides in an old, brick building. (located directly across from duke street royal square parking lot) this gorgeous owl mural is located in the cantina, between taste test and redeux market - two places you should definitely check out! for more information about the mural painting and the artists, check out the story on YDR. a note from me: this particular quote has meant a lot to me ever since i decided to move home during my freshman year of college. over the past four years, i have learned that i don't necessarily need to leave my home to discover and learn things. to "bloom where you are planted" means to me that you find the beauty in the simple things that make up your every day life. there is so much happening here in york and i earnestly want to help in anyway that i can. seeing this mural painted in royal square was just another reminder that i'm exactly where i'm supposed to be.
